KeyLemon Partners with SwissTeach To Demo Facial Recognition for LMS

SwissTeach has partnered with KeyLemon, a company that makes biometric identification tools, to demo facial recognition on the latter's online learning management system (LMS), Global Teach.

"The Swissteach/KeyLemon LMS demo supplements legacy username-and-password logins to guard access to sensitive information using 20 points of unique facial data," according to a news release. "It also features a one-way verification process that prevents face reconstruction using biometric models."

Systems based on the demo will allow users to login or periodically re-verify their identity without taking any action.

"Controlling access to the system is a big part of the equation," said Heinz Gerber, CEO of Swissteach, in a prepared statement. "But we're also pleased by the language-independent nature of the solution. No matter where users live or how their names appear in various languages, logins are seamless, allowing users to concentrate on learning."

"Our face recognition technology is available as an SDK with prebuilt libraries, as well as a cloud-based solution, as illustrated with the demo case," said Gilles Florey, CEO of KeyLemon, in a news release. "Rather than spending months recoding, we were able to implement sophisticated face recognition in a matter of days."
