Curriculum Associates Debuts Common Core Tools

Curriculum Associates has updated its i-Ready reading, language arts and mathematics program in an effort to provide teachers insight into how well their students understand the Common Core State Standards.

The company has launched i-Ready Standards Mastery, a collection of assessments designed to complement i-Ready Diagnostics with detailed information about individual standards as students progress through them.

"The robust feature set in i-Ready Standards Mastery was designed to prepare students for success on the new state and consortium assessments," according to a news release. "Its rigorous assessments include a wide range of technology-enhanced items that effectively prepare students for the new assessment demands."

Other features include instructional recommendations and reports focused on the district, school class, student and item level.

"More than ever, schools and districts need to know if what they are doing in the classroom is working — insight into whether or not students are mastering the standards they are teaching every day," said Rob Waldron, CEO of Curriculum Associates, in a prepared statement. "Great teachers are the first and most important piece of the puzzle, but teachers also need timely, actionable data to identify and fill those gaps."
