National Science Teachers Association, Pasco Select Winning Teachers for Annual STEM Educator Awards
PASCO Scientific, a provider of STEM education resources, in partnership with the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) has selected three teachers for their annual awards program for middle and high school educators.
Since its 2012 debut, the PASCO NSTA STEM Educator Awards has honored 24 educators for their inquiry-based and technology-infused STEM programs. This year’s awardees will receive up to $1,000 to cover travel expenses to attend the NSTA National Conference (March 30 to April 2 in Los Angeles) and participate in a workshop; a $500 monetary gift; and a $5,000 certificate for PASCO products, which include wireless sensors and carts.
Award recipients are:
Winners were selected by the NSTA’s Committee on Awards and Recognition, which reviewed the applications in which candidates explained “how they address a real-world application or problem integrating the elements of STEM; incorporate sensor-based data collection and visualization technologies; teach students of varying ability levels; and support national science education standards,” according to information from a PASCO representative.
