CoSN Conference Is On K-12 & the NII

The Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) is sponsoring their first conference, "K-12 School Networking on the Emerging Information Superhighway."

To be held March 17-19, 1996 at the Sheraton National Hotel in Arlington, Va., the focus is all on the National Information Infrastructure (NII) &emdash; currently known as the Internet/Web &emdash; and how it can assist in changing the way we teach and learn.

Specific topic tracks include: Community Networks: Examples of Success; Cyberporn: Addressing Concerns; Convincing Your Community to Invest in School Networking; and Technology Donations: Managing Hidden Costs.

Guest speakers will include Reed Hunt, head of the FCC and Richard Riley, Secretary of Education. Other noted individuals, from both the public and private sector, have been invited to speak as well.
