Brother Multifunction Copier/Printer/Scanner

To address the specific needs of educators, Brother (www.brother.com) has released the DCP-8045D, a digital copier and laser printer with color scanning capabilities. The DCP-8045D combines high-quality, fast digital copying and laser printing (up to 21 copies/pages per minute), and high-resolution color scanning capabilities to make this rugged unit ideal for mobile classrooms, mixed platform environments, computer labs and central office applications. It can also reduce and enlarge images from 25% to 400% and produces automatic duplex output - a key time, paper and money-saving feature for educational settings. As a laser printer, the DCP-8045D offers a maximum print resolution of 2,400 x 600, 32 MB of standard memory, and comes standard with USB 2.0 and parallel interfaces. And with both monochrome and color scanning capabilities, it can scan at up to a 9,600 x 9,600 interpolated resolution, giving teachers and administrators the ability to import images or documents into PC or Mac applications. In addition, an optional internal print server board is available to make the DCP-8045D network ready. It can also be used as a print server to provide printing services for Windows, Mac and UNIX environments.
