GTCO Releases InterWrite 3 Mac

01.12.2007—GTCO CalComp has released version 3.0 of its InterWrite software for Mac OS X. InterWrite is the software behind GTCO's classroom hardware products, which include the InterWrite SchoolPad, InterWrite iPanel and InterWrite SchoolBoard.
For Mac users, the most significant update in the new release is its Intel Mac compatibility. Version 3.0 is a Universal Binary, offering native support for both Intel- and PowerPC-based Macs. Aside from expanded native hardware support, InterWrite 3.0 also receives improvements in the following areas:
- Support for Interwrite PRS sessions;
- Compatibility with the new wide-format InterWrite SchoolBoard;
- Additional Image Gallery assets; and
- Localization for the following languages: Spanish (Mexican), Spanish (European), Portuguese (Brazilian), Portuguese (European), French, Italian and German.
It also receives various other, more minor, tweaks.
InterWrite Software is available for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux and includes interactive content and resources for subject areas including math, science, geography and language arts, among others. Upgrades are available free for existing users.
