Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia has extended its relationship with educational publisher FableVision, choosing the company's Get A Clue reading comprehension program for the fifth year in a row.

Get A Clue is a Web-based subscription service that's designed to build vocabulary and reading comprehension and also to help students practice and improve test-taking skills (SAT prep, for example). It uses a system called WATS ("Words and Their Stories") to provide students with the derivations of words and supply clues leading to an understanding of their meanings.

Fairfax has agreed to continue using Get A Clue for the fifth year running across its 26 high schools and alternative schools.
