Texas District Adopts Angel LMS To Support 1:1 Program

##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->

Klein Independent School District in Texas has adopted the Angel Learning Management Suite from Angel Learning and will use it to support a 1:1 computing initiative in three schools this fall.

According to information released by the district, "Klein ISD was in need of a product that was K-12 focused that would allow teachers and students to interact in a safe and secure environment, to exchange documents, post assignments, interface with the student information system and provide web 2.0 tools for our students in the 1:1 environment."

Deployment and other preparations are being handled by three departments within the district: Information Technology, Educational Technology, and Student Information Systems. IT and SIS are handling back-end systems integration, while Ed Tech is handling training and implementations on the first three campuses that will use the software at the start of the school year.

The three schools initially deploying Angel LMS are Vistas High School, Krimmel Intermediate School, and Klein Oak High School.

Klein ISD serves about 40,000 students across 37 schools in Southeastern Texas.
