Crestron Launches OnCue AV Controller

Crestron OnCue includes eight buttons for AV device control through infrared and RS-232.

Crestron has rolled out a new AV presentation controller that sends commands to a maximum of three devices via infrared or one via RS-232.

The new controller, onCue, incorporates a keypad that uses eight buttons to manipulate power, volume, source selection, and other controls related to AV presentation equipment. With the aid of macros, individual buttons can be programmed to send a maximum of five commands to multiple AV devices simultaneously.

The keypad mounts into a single gang electrical socket and includes red LED indicators, located immediately above each button, that can be customized to support interlock grouping and toggle feedback. LED indicators by default light for a short period of time when a button is pressed.

To indicate the functions of each programmable button, the keypad supports interchangeable button caps. Button caps shipped with the onCue controller include power off, power on, volume down, volume up, mute, toggle, DVD player, computer 1, computer 2, generic source, and unlabeled.

For connecting the presentation controller to individual displays, the controller features a library with preprogrammed settings for controlling the volume, mute, and power of devices from Acer, InFocus, Dell, Epson, Optoma, BenQ, and Mitsubishi.

Other features include passcode protection and automatic shutdown.

The onCue presentation controller is currently available.
