Assessment Provider, Online Resource Collection Team Up To Match Students With Resources
A major K-12 assessment and learning analytics
provider is
partnering with a company that offers online educational resources to
make it
easier for teachers to find a direct connection between assessment
results and
the content their students need to respond to those assessments.
Renaissance
Learning, a company that provides assessment
tools, including its own product, STAR, will partner with OpenEd, a large
collection of digital resources that teachers can use to teach the
Common Core
Standards. As a result, teachers using Renaissance's assessment tools
can now
connect students with more instructional content in OpenEd's
collection than in
the past that are aligned to the specific skills students need to
improve.
Renaissance's STAR assessments provide educators with
data to
target instruction and practice. OpenEd's library is curated by the
company's
machine learning technology and a team of curriculum specialists.
"It is crucial that teachers have quick access to
just the
right quality-aligned resource for each student," said Renaissance
Learning
Senior Vice President of Learning Strategy Anne Schreiber. "We partnered
with
OpenEd to expand teacher'’ access to these skill-aligned resources for
personalizing learning."
