Cleverywhere Debuts Game for Common Core Test Prep

Cleverywhere has launched a new game, ThemePark, designed to help students improve their scores on standardized tests.

A pixel-style game, ThemePark allows individual students to create their own avatars, fight monsters, earn a mascot and explore digital worlds as they interact with standardized testing content. The classroom's collective success helps to rebuild a dilapidated theme park that students can then enjoy from any device. Teachers can access analytics for individual students or the entire classroom and parents can view their child's progress.

The first installation, ThemePark Vocabulary 4, is available for iOS and Android devices now and covers Common Core material for students in grade four. ThemePark Math is slated for release in 2017.

"The interface is engaging and the pixelated graphics are similar to Minecraft, which many kids enjoy," said Shayna Sackett-Gable, elementary teacher at the South Orange-Maplewood School District, in a prepared statement. "The leaderboard adds a level of competition that this age group typically appreciates and the questions were generally clear and appropriate."

A free game is available for download through the end of this year at themeparcc.com.
