GoGuardian has added new AI capabilities to its student assessment tool, Edulastic, designed to help save time in creating and grading tests.
Discovery Education will hold its 12th annual Fall VirtCon free professional learning conference on Saturday, Oct. 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. ET, where it invites educators “to learn new, classroom-tested techniques and strategies for igniting each student’s innate curiosity,” the company said.

A May 2023 survey of Gen Z students conducted by Touchstone Research shows how students perceive generative artificial intelligence, how they use it, and what they’re using the tools for — and while only 18% of respondents said they'd ever used generative AI, of those, over a third were middle- and high-schoolers reporting they've used the tools to help with their schoolwork.

A survey of nearly 1,000 parents revealed that only a small minority oppose the use of generative AI tools like ChatGPT for academic help in schools.
In a new national survey of more than 1,100 educators, a substantial 64% said they are somewhat or very worried about losing technology resources in the classroom owing to funding cuts.
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency has launched a voluntary pledge for K–12 education technology software makers to “commit to designing products with greater security built in,” the agency said in a news release.
