LG has debuted two new projectors in its ProBeam line of education laser projectors for large and medium spaces, as well as a new LED projector for small spaces.
ASCD this week unveiled its new professional learning and credentialing platform, Witsby. The new platform is designed to provide a range of learning tools across multiple platforms and provide "personalized professional learning paths to help educators stay on track — and on pace — to meet their evolving needs and goals."
Over the three years since Ector County ISD launched its tutoring program, the district has achieved remarkable growth, and superintendent Scott Muri recently joined THE Journal Insider podcast host Kristal Kuykendall to share some of the lessons learned during the pilot and implementation, such as its use of outcomes-based tutoring contracts, strictly structured tutoring sessions, and teacher involvement.

Savvas Learning Company has unveiled two new interactive digital social studies programs: Magruder’s American Government Interactive, and Civics Interactive, which provide continuously updated current events and content. The Magruder’s program complements the latest edition of the print textbook, while the Civics curriculum will be all digital. Both programs are built on the C3 framework (College, Career, and Civic Life) model for Social Studies State Standards.
