Color Copier/Printers Suit Workgroups

The HP CopyJet and CopyJet M for workgroups offer the convenience of a plain-paper color copier and a color printer in one unit. The CopyJet provides color printing and copying for Windows and DOS workgroups; the CopyJet M comes standard with enhanced PCL 5 with color and Adobe PostScript Level 2, additional memory and an HP JetDirect print-server card for easy sharing in Macintosh, networked and mixed computing environments. The CopyJet will copy documents up to 8.5 x 14 at 300 dpi; educators should note its double-hinged, removable document cover that allows copying from thick books, documents and even three-dimensional objects. The CopyJet also features HP's new text-enhancement technology, which helps alleviate the gray, fuzzy, color-specked text characters common to color copies. The CopyJet prints at average speeds up to 1.5 ppm for color documents, 3 ppm for documents with mixed text and color graphics and 7 ppm for documents with monochrome text. It also offers 600 x 300 dpi monochrome printing. Hewlett-Packard, Palo Alto, CA, (800) 752-0900.
