School District to Produce Student CD-ROM Profiles

Northport School District in Northport, N.Y. is currently in the fourth year of a five-year districtwide computer plan. The plan began with basic computer and software training for teachers districtwide, includes the creation of CD-ROMs for K-12 departments documenting the year's work and progress, and culminates with each student receiving a CD-ROM highlighting their own individually achieved standards upon graduation. Although the school district has made a multi-year commitment to funding and training, it is currently looking for business partnerships to assist in the creating and publishing of this and future interactive CD-ROM projects. Interested parties contact Peter Falotico, (516) 262-6672. Northport East-Northport U.F.S.D., Northport, NY, (516) 262-6672.
