The CLD–;V5000 can be operated with a wireless remote, LaserBarcode reader or direct computer control through an RS–;232C serial port.

Other features include auto start and repeat modes, continuous playback, text display functions, headphone jack and separate CD and LD trays. The unit plays 12–; and 8–;inch videodiscs, 5–;inch standard and 3–;inch single audio CDs and 5–;inch compact disc videos (CDV).
