Version 3.3 Simplifies Information Sharing

Version 3.3 of SMART 2000 Conferencing software makes it easier and more convenient to manage the sharing of information during a data conference.

A new feature in the program allows a participant to transfer an entire "notepad" containing a series of slides and images to all remote sites without disturbing the conference. Once the transfer is complete, all sites can interact with the shared images.

Under an optional Observer/ Student mode, users may only connect to other observers, point and exit from the conference. Instructors, who enjoy a full array of interactive tools, can therefore give a more smooth-running lecture to younger students.

SMART 2000 Conferencing supports up to 64 locations connected via ordinary telephone lines, ISDN or computer networks. The program may also be used with the firm's touch-sensitive electronic whiteboards. SMART Technologies, Calgary, Alberta, Canada, (403) 245-0333. W
