Create Lessons Specificall for Legal Instruction

CALI-IOLIS is a Windows-- based software system designed to facilitate the rapid creation of computer-based legal instructional materials.

The system was created by the Law Courseware Consortium (LCC) in the United Kingdom and has been in use by dozens of British legal faculty members over the past several years. Written specifically for use by law professors, the system utilizes pre-programmed question formats, which lets instructors concentrate their time on writing lesson content.

"As soon as a professor can finish [authoring] a lesson, CALI (Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction) is there to distribute that lesson to its 160 law school members across the country," said John Mayer, CALI's executive director. CALI, Chicago, IL, (312) 906-5307. W
