Programming Language Is Fun for All Ages

FUNdaMENTAL is a computer programming language that combines the simplicity of BASIC with the multimedia capabilities of HyperCard.

Simple enough for upper-elementary schoolchildren yet powerful enough for college students and adults, it allows one to write programs that manipulate pictures, sounds and text. Libraries of sounds and graphics are included, or users can import or "borrow" graphics or record their own sounds.

Tutorial programs are provided to teach the programming language and, consequently, how a computer actually works. FUNdaMENTAL teaches ideas such as decomposition, parallel processing and debugging, and how these programming concepts relate to real life.

The package comes with a unique curriculum system designed by teachers to maximize creativity and flexibility while providing a sturdy curriculum foundation. KartoffelSoft, Inc., Palo Alto, CA, (415) 324-4103.
