Year-Long MM Writing Instruction

The Writer's Solution, an interactive writing instruction program, uses the best of videodisc, CD-ROM and print to give students a fun and interesting writing environment. Interactive lessons lead students through the process of writing. Multimedia activities and writing inspirations -- using movie clips, audio annotations, color graphics and more -- aid students in prewriting, drafting and revising their text. Students work right in an online notebook. Brief interviews with writers from across the U.S. give students insight into writing and how it relates to people's work and lives. Students can continue working away from the computer with print sourcebooks. A Macintosh version, grades 6-8, is currently available; Windows and high school versions will be available soon.
