Exorcise Pesky Writing Demons

Appropriate for upper elementary, middle school, high school and adult education programs, Writing Demons helps students recognize problems that are common in writing. Each exercise text contains up to four underlined choices, one of which may be a run-on sentence, comma fault, sentence fragment or other writing error. In response to a wrong answer, the computer indicates the correct choice and explains why it is right. The program covers 40 concepts, or "demons," which may give students trouble. As students use the program, they advance without instructor intervention. And a teacher utility feature provides diagnostic information and record keeping. The program is also useful in helping to prepare for the ACT, SAT or GED and state proficiency exams. A free demo disk is available.
