New CD-i Titles Add to Growing Library

Philips School 2000, publisher of CD-i based curriculum for K-12, has released six new Teacher's Kits, bringing the number of available Kits to 22. Among the new Kits are four additions to the Language Arts category, one Science release and one cross-curriculum program. The Chronicles of Narnia is a nine-disc set based on the acclaimed BBC production of C.S. Lewis' classic work. Storytime Learning includes three children's stories including Rudyard Kipling's How the Camel Got His Hump and How the Rhinoceros Got His Skin, and Hans Christian Anderson's The Emperor's New Clothes. Learning With Thumbelina provides several activities including music, painting, coloring and learning games such as shapes and numbers. The final Language Arts release includes 24 of Aesop's Fables, and mazes and puzzles based on images from the stories. Space Exploration is the Science release, and includes hours of space footage, NASA photos and 3D animated models. Students explore the planets and moons, as well as the composition and movements of asteroids, comets and meteors. Learning With Rhymes and Color is a cross-curriculum title aimed at students ages 3-7. It features Mother Goose rhymes, animated movies and more. More CD-i Teacher's Kits are planned.
