Young Readers Get Their Own CD Guide to Pubs.
A new reference for K-12 is the Readers' Guide for Young People, a periodicals research database for up to grade 8 reading levels. The CD covers a diverse range of publications, from biographies to reviews of books, music and movies, plus news stories and more. Nine journals for education are also included. Age-appropriate search terms are employed, while color codes designate the reading level. Each full-text entry is preceded by a brief abstract; databases' ASCII text format eases import tasks. Readers' Guide for Young People is offered on Mac or Windows CD-ROM, on the 'net via WilsonWeb and on magnetic tape. H.W. Wilson, New York, NY, (800) 367-6770, www.hwwilson.com. WM
