Courses Debut New Learning Environment

Interactive Mathematics is the first series of Mediated Learning courses available from Academic Systems. For Mac and Windows PCs, currently it includes three courses: Algebra for College Students I, II and III. An Interactive English series is also planned.

Mediated Learning courses are designed for standard networked environments and also support TCP/IP for wider distribution.

Courses are supported by technology that combines sophisticated instructional software, real-time assessment and feedback, and an advanced Instructional Support System that provides professors with useful information on student progress and performance.

Mediated Learning creates an environment in which instructors can spend more time giving individualized attention to students who need it most. Students learn core concepts at their own pace, and work together, helping one another. Academic Systems, Mountain View, CA, (415) 694-6850, www.academic.com. WM
