Dell PCs Offer Many Networking Options

Dell announces a new line of network-ready PCs that combine Pentium processors with Universal Serial Bus (USB) support in an environmentally friendly OptiFrame chassis.

The Dell OptiPlex Gs and OptiPlex GXi, which replace the OptiPlex G and GX models, add features such as integrated 3Com 10/100Mbps networking and Self-Monitoring Analysis Reporting Technology (SMART).

The new PCs ship with Pentium processor speeds from 133MHz to 200MHz.

Made of 100% recyclable materials, the chassis can be opened by pressing a button and lifting, making it easier to service and upgrade.

Both systems come with the Dell Inspector, a Desktop Management Interface browser that enables the unit to determine and report the status of its components. Dell Computer Corp., Austin, TX, (800) 388-8542, www.dell.com.
