AlivePages enables teachers and students to build Web pages, manage Web-based resources and create collaborative learning activities from within a Netscape Navigator browser window.

The software provides the tools to collect and organize Web-based information. Teachers are given the tools to create template pages that supply students with an editable structure for their own work; templates can include graphics, links and discussion "boxes" for asynchronous text-based conferencing.
In AlivePages, project and template pages are dynamic, becoming both a way to present information and a way to receive feedback as well. A series of projects has been created to demonstrate its unique qualities, which are found on the firm's Web server -- http://buntzen.mc2.sfu.ca.
AlivePages software is server based; it needs Netscape Navigator 2.02 or greater for Windows95 or 3.0 for the Mac.
