Explore Picasso with QuickTime VR

Grolier Interactive has released a new title called Picasso, the Man, his Works, the Legend. Endorsed by the Picasso family, the CD re-creates the art and atmosphere of one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. It contains hundreds of masterpieces from over 70 different museums and galleries, plus rarely seen works from prestigious private collections around the world.

Over 600 of Picasso's referenced works are presented with tools such as a magnifying glass and a scale that enable students to examine the masterpieces in detail. One can explore the content by focusing on Picasso's most notable works through the broad artistic areas related to a type of art or theme, by viewing the gallery of all 600 works, or by taking a guided tour.

Picasso, the Man, his Works, the Legend (Mac/Win) also contains 120 photographs of Picasso in his various studios, video footage, film extracts, and previously undisclosed family archives. Hours of original music and commentary are included as well as a QuickTime VR panorama introducing 17 of Picasso's key works, each representing a creative period.

A glossary and a timeline show the relationships between historic events and Picasso's artistic periods. Grolier Interactive, Inc., Danbury, CT, (203) 797-3530, www.grolier.com.
