LCD Panels Transmit 50% More Light

Both the MagniView 496 and 498 LCD panels from Dukane transmit up to 50% more light than standard panels, thus accommodating lower-lumen overhead projectors commonly found in classrooms.

Each 6.5-pound unit includes an active-matrix screen and built-in three-watt stereo speakers. Model 496 offers 640 x 480 resolution, while model 498 delivers 800 x 600 resolution.

Both MagniView panels permit remote control of presentation capabilities. An automatic Zoom function magnifies projected images by up to four times, and the Electronic Pointer directs audience attention to specific areas.

Other highlights are the Curtain control, which reveals select portions of a presentation, and Freeze, which stops motion and fixes images even if the video source has been turned off. Dukane Corp., St. Charles, IL, (888) 238-5263, www.dukane.com.
