Educators Can Purchase Compaq PC for Home

Compaqís new Educator Purchase Program gives teachers and administrators the option of buying for personal use a specially configured Presario 4460ES Desktop PC, previously available only to educational institutions.

The all-in-one unit allows educators to accomplish a variety of tasks at home, such as creating multimedia presentations, conducting research, communicating with parents via e-mail, preparing lesson plans and tracking student grades. The system incorporates a 166MHz processor featuring MMX technology, 24MB of RAM, 2GB hard drive, 8X CD-ROM drive, 28.8 modem and JBL Pro speakers with surround sound.

A Teacher Productivity LearningPaq, bundled with the computer, includes SkillsBank 96, Teacherís Toolbox, HyperStudio for Windows and other educational applications, as well as Microsoft Works. Free hardware technical support ó for the life of the product ó is also a highlight of the program.
