University Puts Campus Recruiting on the Right Track

The University of California, Riverside’s career center has teamed up with JOBTRAK.COM to implement InterviewTRAK, a Web-based, on-campus recruiting and student registration system. The program makes the process of scheduling and coordinating things like on-campus interviews and transmitting resumes more efficient. Plus, since it is online, it is accessible to students, employers and staff 24 hours a day.

The system allows students to view a list of employers who are coming on campus to recruit. It then lets them submit their resumes and, if they have been selected, to sign up for interview time slots online. Employers can view resumes, select the students they wish to interview and watch their schedules fill up. Also, career centers are able to schedule employer visits and oversee the entire interview process electronically by using this Web-based product.

Over 60 universities including Berkeley, UCLA, MIT, Northwestern, Georgia Tech and Cornell are currently using InterviewTRAK. During the beta-test of the system on 23 campuses, it handled registrations from 185,000 students who were scheduled for over 100,000 interviews with more than 5,300 employers.
