Creation of Projects and Presentations Made Simple

Microsoft Office 2001 Macintosh Edition includes several innovative commands that promise to enhance projects and presentations. The Project Gallery is a task-based starting point that helps users select appropriate designs to match his or her specific needs before committing to an application. Any of the 400 customizable templates or Office applications may be launched from the Project Gallery.

Found in Excel 2001, the List Manager simplifies list management through interface controls, which include sorting, filtering, formatting and printing. The Data Merge Manager, found in Word 2001, consolidates the process of using data to conduct mass communications via e-mail or letter into a single window. The new Tri-pane View in PowerPoint 2001 combines the previously separate Slide, Outline and Notes views, making it easy to add slides, edit text in a slide, or enter notes while creating a presentation.

Also available throughout Office 2001 are the Image Effects features. These options, such as red-eye reduction, scratch removal, automatic color correction and filters, provide editing tools to correct and enhance pictures easily. Each of the applications also includes the Formatting Palette, which displays the most commonly used settings and tools to format text, images and documents.
