Assess and Plan Students’ Reading

Scholastic has enhanced two of its key reading softwareprograms, Scholastic Reading Counts!and Scholastic Reading Inventory —Interactive Version. Some of the enhancements include improved performanceefficiency within the Scholastic Management Suite, guided reading levels tobetter match students of all ages with appropriate texts, customizable pointvalues and reading lists specifically tailored for each student, new reportsthat allow teachers to set weekly goals and rewards, and an enriched bookdatabase of over 23,000 titles.

Both programs allow teachers to customize individual readingprograms for students at all levels. They provide critical progress reports, which give teachers and administrators a snapshot of each student’s readinglevel. Each student’s score corresponds to widely-used, high stakes assessmenttests so educators can provide ongoing assessment to improve reading scores.
