Administer Quizzes and Questionnaires Onscreen or Online

Question Mark Corp. has released Perception, software that allows users to author questions and group them into tests, quizzes and surveys. Users can create multiple question banks and organize questions into topics and sub-topics. The software also offers 10 question types, adaptive branching, online reporting of assessment results, and question analysis. Questions can include videos and graphics. When a participant finishes answering questions, the answers are stored in an encrypted database, and results can be tallied in five types of reports.

Both Windows and non-Windows users can author questions locally, or from a distance using Perception's new Browser Based Authoring. The service is well suited for colleges where faculty and students use different platforms and operating systems, and for secondary schools that share a centralized server and need to provide authoring capabilities to teachers. A secure environment ensures that database management systems will not be exposed to attacks. Typical applications for Question Mark include exams, quizzes, study aids, diagnostic tests, pre-course skills assessments, and course evaluations.
