Indexed Reading Lists Available for All Ages

Lexile.com and NoveList have signed an agreement whereby NoveList will include Lexiles for all titles in their database that have been measured by Lexile.com. The Lexile Framework for Reading is an educational tool that links text and readers under a common invariant standard. The framework characterizes a reader with a measure, called a Lexile, and characterizes each text with a Lexile, allowing educators to forecast the level of comprehension a reader will experience with a particular text. NoveList is a resource for selecting fiction titles for all ages and interests. It describes over 92,000 fiction titles and includes book discussion guides, book talks, fiction-related feature articles and outlines for classroom activities. Through their alliance, the companies hope to assist teachers and students in locating the most appropriate reading materials available. Lexile.com, RTP, NC, (888) LEXILES, www.lexile.com.
