Filtering System Blocks Inappropriate URLs

INET Library, a developer of Internet resources for teachers and schools, provides a filtering method called the INET Library PLUS blocking system. INET Library has reviewed and catalogued over 260,000 quality education sites with their staff of teachers and librarians over the past four years, and now has the ability to block over 500,000 inappropriate sites with the PLUS system. The system not only blocks inappropriate URLs, but it automatically updates daily, so as new sites are added on the Web, they are instantly blocked on each system. This blocking can be disabled on individual computers used by adults, though not through obvious paths so that young users cannot bypass the filter. This system avoids the problem of word filters, and is flexible enough to allow customization by schools or libraries. INET Library, www.inetlibrary.com.
