Short Takes - IMS Global Learning Consortium & WGBH Boston

The “IMS Guidelines for Developing Accessible Learning Applications” has been established to educate the e-learning community about the challenges that people with disabilities face in accessing online education. IMS Global Learning Consortium and WGBH Boston have set the guidelines and proposed suggestions for providing solutions for people with disabilities. The guidelines are available online at http://ncam.wgbh.org/salt/guidelines, and are expected to be a resource for a broad range of stakeholders in online education. The guidelines were developed as part of the Specifications for Accessible Learning Technologies (SALT) partnership at the CPB/WGBH National Center for Accessible Media.
