Pearson NCS

Pearson NCS (www.pearsonncs.com/prosper) will begin shipping its new Prosper Assessment System - which combines item banking, test generation, scoring and reporting in an affordable, easy-to-use software package - next month. Educators can use the system to quickly create paper and online tests using item bank questions provided by major textbook publishers. Alternatively, educators can create an item bank of questions based on content they cover within class, organized by district or state learning objectives. Completed tests can then be scanned using an optical mark reader and a PC. As forms are scanned, the data instantly appears on the computer screen for viewing and editing. The data can also be exported to a variety of spreadsheet and database packages. The Prosper Assessment System's reporting tools allow educators to measure performance against learning standards, as well as let them make informed instructional decisions. The system also offers a time-saving feature that enables educators to export test data to various gradebook programs.
