Schools Get Free Pass to Experience unitedstreaming

Discovery Education, the newly created division of Discovery Communications Inc., is giving every U.S. public school a chance to experience the power of unitedstreaming, the standards-based digital video-on-demand (VOD) delivery system, through the unitedstreaming VOD Pass initiative. Now through June 30, 2005, the initiative will provide free access for one school building in every U.S. public school district that d'es not already subscribe to the service.

Through unitedstreaming, users gain access to 2,200 videos and 22,000 video clips correlated to individual state education standards, an image library, an interactive quiz center, black-line masters and teachers guides, and a calendar of events that ties video and image content to important historical dates. To apply for the unitedstreaming VOD Pass, district technology coordinators should log on to http://vod.unitedstreaming.com.
