Harris Releases Online Registration for Reduced Cost Meals

Harris School Solutions has released EZMealApp.com, an online registration form for free and reduced cost meal applications.

For use with the company's eTrition school nutrition system, the new module is designed to reduce waste, interpretation errors, labor and paper costs, and to provide quicker eligibility notices.

eTrition is a browser-based nutrition system featuring a centralized database, point of service, menu planning, nutritional analysis, accounting, reporting, and online payment options. Features of eTrition include:

  • Central control of patrons, users, setup, food, and pricing;
  • The ability to serve from a local database indefinitely in case of network failure;
  • Patrons are eligible for service from any district cafeteria; and
  • Any networked computer in the district can be used as a workstation.

"Standard handwritten applications are time consuming to enter, and many times children are denied benefits because of an incomplete application. EZMealApp.com allows parents to quickly and securely enter free and reduced applications online via any Web browser," said Harris Executive Vice President Bradley Blankenship.
