iNACOL to Host Free Webinar on Instuctional Tools for Personalized learning
The International Association for K-12 Online Learning (iNACOL) will offer a free webinar focused on instructional tools for personalized learning next month.
The online event, dubbed "Instructional Tools for Personalized Learning: Insights from a Student and Superintendent," will focus on creating a classroom environment designed to enable students to use their own voices and make their own choices for deeper learning and agency, while ensuring that they develop appropriate knowledge, skills and dispositions.
The webinar will feature Buddy Berry, superintendent at Eminence Independent School District, and his daughter, Brooke Berry, a middle school student in the same district.
"Teachers will learn how to embed tools and practices into their pedagogical approaches to create powerful, personalized learning opportunities for all students," according to a news release. "Buddy will discuss how to empower teachers to make the shift toward personalized learning, and Brooke will share tools and instructional examples for teachers to bring back to their own students, including project-based learning, passion projects and more."
"Instructional tools can transform teaching and learning, yielding higher student achievement and preparing every student to be successful in our increasingly global society" said Bruce Friend, iNACOL COO, in a prepared statement.
