New Analytics Platform Aims to Promote Equity and Inclusion in Educational Leadership

Voice4Equity (V4E), a national organization promoting women and women of color as K–12 school superintendents, and The Superintendent Lab (TSL), a superintendency data and research company, have partnered to debut an AI-driven Education Leadership Analytics platform to promote equity and inclusion in educational leadership through policy, practice, and research.

The platform provides K–12 public school districts with research, data, news, and policy affecting them. V4E's women education leaders Flamboyan Network will have access to the tool, according to a release.

TSL maintains the National Longitudinal Superintendent Database (NLSD), which researches superintendent labor trends and market dynamics, especially focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Its interactive data visualization platform provides insights from various perspectives.

One of TSL's projects is the National Superintendent Panel Project, in which volunteer superintendents commit to share insights and perspectives on educational leadership and policy through quarterly surveys.

"The Superintendent Lab is thrilled to serve as a research partner in collaboration with Voice4Equity to support and empower women and leaders of color in the superintendency," said Rachel White, TSL founder. "From our initial discussions it was clear that we shared a common vision around enhancing equity and inclusion within the superintendency. This partnership will establish an opportunity to amplify our impact by leveraging the strengths each of us brings to the table."

V4E's services include the Women Superintendents' Policy Leadership Academy, the High School Girls' Policy Leadership Network, the Flamboyan Network, and executive leadership coaching.

"For too long, the lack of data and transparency in the education system has reinforced systemic biases that limit opportunities for women and leaders of color," said V4E CEO Christina Kishimoto. "Combined with our platform, both the historical and continued development of superintendent data and research that Dr. White has championed can now be used to provide a roadmap for change to address racial and gender disparities in leadership."
