K12Leaders Introduces Free Data Advocacy Resources for K–12 Educators

K–12 professional network organization K12Leaders (K12L) has made available The Learning Accelerator's (TLA) "Guide for Data Advocacy" as a featured free learning community on its online platform, available to all K–12 educators.

The guide is part of K12L's Professional Pathways career development resource that offers online courseware, community, content, and collaboration. It's designed to help educators "recognize, assess, and advocate for the interventions and policy changes students may need to achieve their full potential based on quantifiable data," the organization said.

Through the platform, educators work in online communities to build data-driven, peer-reviewed products to help students thrive. Participants collaborate in groups focusing on specific practice areas, reviewing each other's work and getting help and feedback from subject-matter experts. The secure platform includes social activity feeds, real-time chat, videoconferencing, private messaging, and document sharing and collaboration on Google Drive.

"Data is a powerful tool for conversations about and action towards greater equity for kids," said Beth Rabbitt, CEO of TLA. "Through the K12Leaders platform, we aim to empower a broader community of education professionals committed to driving positive change."
