Spectrum K12, Tyler Partner for Student Data Solution

##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->

01.24.2007—Spectrum K12 School Solutions and Tyler Technologies have entered into a partnership to offer a new real-time student data solution. Through a Web-based package, the companies' technologies will be integrated to provide tracking of grades, schedules, attendance, billing, service programs, discipline information, and other data.

Spectrum K12 is a publisher of special education software. Its Encore! products are designed for K-12 institutions and are designed to help districts manage the "individualized education process" for students receiving special services or intervention. Tyler is the developer of the Tyler Education Management Solution (TEMS), a system for tracking student and staff information online and for meeting state and federal reporting requirements. Tyler's system includes student registration, health and immunization, scheduling, grading, attendance, discipline, testing and assessment, reporting, staff management, transportation, and a parent portal.

According to the companies, with the new partnership, districts will benefit "by having a fully integrated solution through a single best-of-breed vendor. Seamless integration between Spectrum and Tyler's Education Management Solution guarantees current and accurate data—100 percent compliance that is critical for state reporting—in both systems, without duplicate data entry. This will save time for teachers, administrators and IT staff regardless of which system generated or recorded the information. Also, it will help schools raise student achievement while fulfilling accountability requirements set by NCLB."
