Inspiration Launches Online Learning Community

At the 2007 National Educational Computing Conference (NECC), Inspiration Software kicked off a new online community for educators. The site, dubbed Inspired Learning Community, is designed for educators as "a place to discover and share ideas and resources for effectively using Inspiration Software's visual learning products to develop students' critical thinking skills across the curriculum," according to the company.
Inspiration Software is the developer of education software tools that include Inspiration, Kidspiration, and InspireData, all designed for K-12 institutions.
The new site is designed, according to the company, "to advance the use of visual learning at all age levels and in all subjects." It's available free to all educators and includes forums, blogs, and free lesson downloads. (It also allows educators to upload their own lessons for use by other members of the community.)
