##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->

Angel Learning has released version 7.3 of the Angel Learning Management Suite, adding new capabilities in the areas of assessments, forums, and customization. The company also announced a deal with Elluminate to integrate the Elluminate Live! environment within Angel LMS.

Angel LMS is a learning management system designed for both K-12 and higher ed. The new 7.3 release includes new forum enhancements, including forum management, multiple forum views, and rules-based search filters. It also adds new features for assessments, including algorithmic numerical formula or logical substitution questions.

Other new features include:

  • Drag-and-drop page editing;
  • A new theme editor and theme templates;
  • An enhanced admin console with batch operations and customizability options; and
  • Agent-based data administration.

Angel LMS 7.3 is available now. Demo accounts can also be created at Angel's site here.

Angel also announced a partnership with Elluminate to integrate Elluminate Live! into a future release of its LMS. Elluminate Live! is a Web conferencing tool designed for use in education, providing meeting room and virtual classroom capabilities through a cross-platform collaboration application.

According to Angel, the integration will be "seamless," allowing LMS users to access Elluminate features directly within the Angel interface, including scheduling and attending Elluminate Live! sessions, accessing Elluminate reports, mapping of roles between the two systems, viewing and storing Live! session recordings, and integrating calendars.

Angel's integration with Elluminate will be previewed at the Angel User Conference, which is being held in Ohio May 19 through 21.
