##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->

Antelope Valley Union High School District has recently selected Pearson's PowerSchool Premier to manage its student data. The new system will replace the school's current SASI platform and is slated to launch in the fall of 2009.

The upgrade will take place as part of Pearson's SASI Customer First Program aimed at helping long-standing SASI users migrate over to the new platform. The PowerSchool Premier system includes a centralized architecture and full-time Web-based access to a range of student data.

"With the outstanding support of Pearson, our district experienced a seamless implementation in the migration from SASI to PowerSchool Premier," said Gary Allen, IT Director for Antelope Valley Union High School District, in a prepared statement. "The PowerSchool technology now enables us to focus on 21st century learning as we prepare our high school students for the next phase of their academic life."

With the full launch this fall, the Antelope Valley implementation will support 13 high schools serving more than 24,000 students.
