TeacherWeb Launches Digital School Lockers

TeacherWeb, a unit of Archipelago Learning, has launched a new service for K-12 students and educators: TeacherWeb Digital Lockers. It provides both file storage and collaboration capabilities for schools.

TeacherWeb Digital Lockers lets students, teachers, and staff store documents(such as homework, projects, and other files) in a secure, remote environment that's accessible by users from anywhere. Current features include:

  • Drop boxes for assignment submissions;
  • Virus scanning;
  • Logging of all updates;
  • The ability for schools to choose the amount of storage space allocated to students and classes;
  • The ability for schools to set file size limits and regulate bandwidth; and
  • The ability for schools to determine which file types are allowed.

According to the company, additional features will include support for dragging and dropping files between lockers, sorting by category, and additional administrative reporting tools.

The TeacherWeb Digital Lockers service is available now. Further information can be found here.
