School City, Action Learning Systems Launch the Synced Solution
School City and Action Learning Systems have partnered to develop Web-based software that provides Common Core State Standards curriculum, assessment, and instruction tools.
The Synced Solution, available now, provides school districts with sequential lessons aligned to Common Core State Standards and existing textbooks. It also includes measurable objectives for each portion of English language arts state standards in grades K-12, and math for grades K-8. The curriculum specifies how much time to spend on each lesson and in what order to teach the material.
Features of The Synced Solution include:
- An electronic lesson planner, which includes district pacing, and lets school districts review when teachers have completed standards-aligned lessons;
- Curriculum-embedded interim assessments, which show student results compared to state standards in sequence;
- Professional development resources;
- A searchable resource library, which lets district administration provide recommended reading material, videos, and other content to teachers;
- Storage for curriculum in development, which can be shared with peers and administrators, and current lesson plans; and
- Reports that show how students are progressing across grades, how often standards are taught, and when standards are reviewed.
It also allows districts to sync textbooks and other materials with objectives and state standards, district and school calendars with course pacing metrics, instructional planning, and assessments with student results.
