Ingersoll Rand Offers Security Funding Help

Schools and districts seeking grants to cover the cost of upgrades to their security infrastructure can get help from a global company that sells multiple security products. Ingersoll Rand, which has multiple product lines in areas such as access control, electronic locking, and campus integration of security mechanisms, has developed a two-page guide to grant sources. It has also provided its consulting partners with access to a database of sources for federal and state grant funding totaling $11.5 billion, according to the company.
Ingersoll Rand is also putting on day-long security seminars featuring Paul Timm , president of RETA Security, a firm that provides consulting on physical security in schools.
"Our industry plays a key role in keeping our schools safe and secure. It is up to each and every one of us to make sure we are taking advantage of all the knowledge and resources available," said April Dalton-Noblitt, a director at Ingersoll Rand.
Among the districts that the company has worked with are San Mateo Union High School District in California, Olathe Unified School District 233 in Kansas, and Boulder Valley School District in Colorado.
