Northwest Evaluation Association Debuts New Reports for MAP Assessments

The Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA) has launched a new series of reports for its Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) assessments in an effort to help educators better support academic growth.

Designed to be visually intuitive, the new reports aim to inform classroom instruction, parent-teacher conversations and systemic resource decisions.

"An innovative series of Next-Generation Reports has launched, with new reports created on an ongoing basis, guided by continuous input by teachers about their data needs," according to a news release. "These reports better visualize, consolidate and coordinate data to make it easier for educators to interpret and apply the rich information they get from MAP assessments."

The new Student Profile report gathers information about individual students to help teachers see where they're growing academically and where they may need increased support. The report includes a snapshot that compares student performance to national norms and [projected proficiency on summative assessments and also includes instructional area modules to help simplify differentiated instruction.

The MAP Insights report uses MAP achievement data to offer schools, districts and systems actionable insights. It features a narrative format, top line results and charts and graphs to highlight strengths and opportunities related to academic growth, college and career readiness and future student growth and performance.

"These new reports present that data in a visually compelling way to help illuminate instructional paths and make it easier for teachers to communicate with parents."
